Meet the Founders: Patrick & Kelly O’Horo

Therapist Genie® was born from the unique partnership of Patrick and Kelly O’Horo, a husband-and-wife team blending deep clinical expertise with cutting-edge technology. With over 25 years of combined experience, they’ve created a platform that truly understands the needs of mental health professionals.

Kelly O’Horo, LPC, brings over 15 years of experience running a thriving group practice of EMDR therapists. As an EMDR Trainer and Consultant, she’s dedicated her career to advancing trauma-informed care and supporting clinicians in their growth.

Patrick O’Horo spent more than two decades in the software industry, including at Microsoft, before becoming a licensed counselor and EMDR therapist himself. His journey from tech to therapy gives him a rare perspective on how technology can meaningfully support clinical work.

Together, they envisioned Therapist Genie® as a bridge—connecting the heart of therapy with the power of intelligent design. Their mission is simple: to give therapists the tools they need to thrive, so they can focus on what matters most—healing.
